Enjoy the views of the Blue Ridge on a private horseback ride at the farm, guided by Indian Summer Guide Service. Every trail ride is uniquely tailored to the group and terrain. Calm, trained, well behaved horses will lead you through an unforgettable, unrestricted riding experience.
Pond Fishing
Pond fishing is an entertaining outdoor activity that can be enjoyed by anglers of all experience levels. The pond on our property is catch and release only – please do not keep the fish. The property rights fee covers up to 4 people and 4 rods with tackle.
Fine Dining
Chef Josh Rossiter presents in home fine dining and casual curated dinner experiences. Every meal is custom built to the guests’ specifications and served on location. Additional add-on packages for flowers, table decor, wine, and craft cocktails are available to customize the event.
Wine and Beer Tours
Tours last a minimum of 5 hours, which allows time for stops at 3-4 different wineries and/or breweries depending on group size. Itinerary is fully customized based on your requests, and additional hours are available. Simply choose the vehicle that best fits your group size.
Winter Fun

Blue Ridge Parkway
Millions of visitors enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway each year. Some think of it as just a pleasant drive, but the Parkway is so much more than that. Spanning the southern and central Appalachians, the Blue Ridge Parkway offers an exceptional glimpse of the regional flora and fauna.
Hiking
Although you’ll find plenty to explore on the farm, a more challenging outdoor adventure is a short 15 minute drive away. Fortune’s Cove Preserve covers nearly 800 acres and features 2 challenging hiking loops.

Thrift, value, or an appreciation for quality are all very good reasons to buy antique and vintage items. We also get to rediscover parts of our past while learning about our history in unique and surprising ways. It is a bit like modern day treasure hunting!
River Activities
The James River is Virginia’s largest river, flowing across the entire state. Each year millions of outdoor enthusiasts visit the James and its tributaries to boat, fish, swim, hike, kayak, tube, or just take in the beautiful scenery. How you enjoy the James is up to you.
